ENU Delegation began the in-person phase of the ASIIN Professional Development Program in Germany

On September 14, a delegation from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University-consisting of faculty members and administrative staff began the in-person phase of the "International Quality Assurance Systems" professional development program organized by ASIIN.

The program aims to improve approaches to quality assurance in higher education, foster a quality culture within the university, and explore international best practices regarding accreditation and the enhancement of educational programs. The in-person training phase is taking place from September 14 to 19, 2026, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

During the first stage, participants discussed their expectations, professional needs, and opportunities for further improving the higher education system in Kazakhstan and at ENU.

A key focus of the program is the study of ASIIN accreditation criteria and subject-specific criteria, as well as their practical application in evaluating educational programs. Department representatives presented their educational programs, highlighting key features and approaches to specialist training.

During the remainder of the training, participants will further explore the SWOT analysis methodology and its practical application, while also analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and potential threats associated with the development of educational programs. Additionally, the program includes visits to the Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences (THGA) in Bochum and the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (HSRW) in Kleve, where participants will gain insight into the organization of the educational process and quality assurance systems.
